1st Shift Flux Core/Mig Welder $20-25/hr.Apply and interview this week!Job DescriptionThis position involves working as an in house welder performing flux core welding on structural steel. You will be responsible for setting up your bench, reading prints, laying out the project, and then welding and performing quality checks on the welds. You will support multiple projects on a weekly and monthly basis, welding structural steel beams together according to blueprints. Beams can range from 1/16th of an inch up to two inches. You will receive training and AWS certification and will be required to perform a 16-gauge steel weld test in a flat position.Responsibilities
Set up bench and prepare for welding tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints to lay out projects.
Perform flux core welding on structural steel beams.
Conduct quality checks on welds.
Support multiple projects on a weekly and monthly basis.
Operate in various roles such as operating a forklift and assisting other employees and projects as needed.
Essential Skills
6+ months experience performing flux core welding on steel.
6+ months experience reading blueprints.
Proficiency in welding 90% in a flat position.
Ability to adapt to different roles within the facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous fabrication experience.
Experience working on structural steel.
Experience working in a job shop environment.
