This role will be responsible for Product Management of the Maintenance Management and Turnaround (TAR) & Construction Products. This role will work closely with peers and teams across the Refining Asset Optimization Value Stream to prioritize and develop value added and innovative solutions that are delivered through the products this role is the Product Manager for. This role will partner closely with Refining Directors and Midstream Maintenance leadership to align on and drive the right priorities, along with adoption of digital capabilities, within the team’s scope.This role will manage day-to-day activities of a team of Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, and managed service providers, that are responsible for the EAM workstream within MPC’s SAP platform, TAR & Construction systems including but not limited to the Prometheus Group’s iSuite (iTAR, iCON, IPS), along with multiple other related supporting tools and systems. Strong partnership is required with key stakeholders through scoping and prioritization, translating then to responsibility for delivery and adoption of digital capabilities through an existing technology product structure. Managing and planning feature enhancements through a prioritized backlog will be key to iterative value delivery and moving efficiently along product roadmaps that this role will maintain in alignment with stakeholders. Effectively managing relationships and engagement with strategic 3rd party vendors, such as Prometheus Group, are a critical component of this role’s ability to consistently deliver value through the Maintenance Management and TAR & Construction Products.The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and be familiar with both Routine and Major Maintenance work processes in the Oil & Gas or similar industry. They will have a proven track record of delivering solutions, collaborating with stakeholders across various functions, and intentionally measuring what is implemented to ensure value is captured.This role will proactively work closely with peers across IT, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity, as well as Refining and EAM business partners, to influence and collaborate on solutions and priorities. This role is accountable for business results primarily achieved through the work of others. Manages staff, sets direction, and deploys resources. It has responsibility for employee development, performance reviews, pay reviews, and staffing decisions.Key Responsibilities

Manages the day-to-day operations of a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines and advice on conflicting priorities.

Understands the overall organizational vision and collaborates with management to set team goals that translate into actionable plans at the team level.

Maintains a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and leads the team through periods of change and transformation.

Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities and works with internal IT groups to provide effective solutions to address business needs. Develops continuous improvement techniques.

Ensures the availability, reliability, and security of technology systems, implementing appropriate measures to protect sensitive information and prevent disruptions.

Plan, resource, and provides direction and technical leadership for low- to medium-complexity IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manages the department project portfolio effectively through governance and planning processes.

Assists in the development and management of the department budget, tracking expenses, and ensures that resources are allocated effectively to meet business requirements.

Stays abreast of the latest technology trends, industry advancements, and regulatory changes, and makes recommendations for adopting new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Assesses and identifies technology needs and opportunities, making recommendations for system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize processes and workflows.

Partners with leadership to develop strong business cases for technology initiatives.

Assists in the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards that are in line with area of responsibility and industry standards. Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, performance management of talent to meet needs of the business.

Build and maintain relationships with in-scope vendors.

Participate in the market and solution assessments to address new or enhanced business capabilities.

Leading and driving accountability in clarity of Product Team Outputs, associated Outcomes being targeted, and connection to how each will Impact stakeholder organizations.

Alignment and engagement with the Routine Maintenance Modernization Program to ensure Product roadmaps and strategy complement Program scope.

Intentional engagement with Midstream IT and EAM IT Product Leadership to drive work intake efficiency, clarity of ownership, and streamlined stakeholder communications.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.

10+ years of diversified IT experience required.

3+ years of experience leading professional staff required.
