Sr Quality ManagerLocation OH, ElyriaDepartment QualityEmployment Type Full TimeCrane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Quality Manager at our Elyria, OH site.Job Summary:The Senior Quality Manager is responsible, in partnership with the production/engineering Management Team, for establishing the continuous improvement strategy to support the organization’s manufacturing quality and cost reduction goals. Ensure that the plant meets both internal and external customer expectations.Essential Functions:

Responsible for planning, leading, educating and assisting the site staff in the execution of the established continuous improvement strategy.

Manage budget, costs and expenditures within the Quality function and applicable functional support requirement.

Instill a disciplined approach to seek out and eliminate quality problems at all levels of the organization.

Participates in program and design reviews to contribute to assuring that product quality objectives are met.

Oversee the resolution of quality issues with suppliers.

Participate in internal and external quality audits.

Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 10+ years Quality assurance experience in the defense, space electronics or high-end aerospace industry; 7+ years experience as a Quality Manager; Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Knowledge: Expert knowledge of Quality Management Systems as well as Process Improvement and Control Techniques; Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing best practices, process control (SPC, Six Sigma), logistics processes (inventory management), engineering management (project management) and safety management

Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix environment and ability to motivate all levels of the organization; Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Effective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills; Ability to manage through influence; Ability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.

Education/Certification: B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field

Travel up to 10% may be required.

Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified ISO/AS lead assessor credentials

MBA or Master's of Science in related field
