As a DevOps Software Engineer your roles and responsibilities as a DevOps Software Engineer will include:
- Migration of an existing application to an AWS environment using an existing Chef automation solution.
- Work with the DevOps team to support a Chef based automated deployment solutions for Microsoft Windows software solutions.
- Modify an existing Chef automated deployment solution to support a new environment in AWS.
- Analyze existing Microsoft Windows C#/.NET software and use that information to modify existing configuration management solutions in Chef.
- Troubleshoot and debug Chef recipes, attributes, data bags and roles.
- 4+ years of experience with C# .Net development
- Hands on experience with Git as well as hosting solutions (e.g. Gitlab is a plus)
- PowerShell scripting expertise
- Experience managing and working with Windows environments
- Strong debugging and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication skills and must be able to communicate and coordinate well with both peers and management
- Experience with the Chef stack, especially Chef/Ruby and RunDeck for Windows deployments
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Team City or CI systems in general
- Experience with Artifactory
- Some experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
