CPC Logistics Solutions is currently hiring an Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator safety driver for a client based in Dayton, OH. Safety Drivers for Autonomous Trucks play a crucial role in ensuring the safe testing and operation of self-driving vehicles. They are responsible for monitoring the vehicle's behavior, intervening when necessary, and providing valuable feedback to improve the system's performance. Safety Drivers play a vital role in the development and deployment of self-driving vehicles, ensuring that these technologies meet the highest safety standards before they are introduced to the commercial customer operations.
The Safety driver will drive autonomous yard trucks organizing and parking 53’ trailers in the yard along with monitoring data in the software. Must be able to back up to hook up the trailer. Must be able to manually park the trailer, unhook the trailer and move around in a parking lot. Most of your shift you are in the cab. There are times you will be working manually outside of the cab in the elements. Steel toes boots are required.
