Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Door and Window Installation Subcontractor to join our team. The subcontractor will be responsible for installing a variety of doors and windows, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. This is a contract-based position requiring expertise in carpentry, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing projects on schedule in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install residential doors, windows, and related hardware according to specifications and project requirements.
Measurement and Preparation: Take accurate measurements, prepare work areas, and ensure proper alignment for installations.
Material Handling: Safely transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment required for installation.
Clean Job Site: Maintain a clean and organized job site before, during, and after each project to ensure safety and client satisfaction.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Communication: Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other to ensure clear communication and project success.
Problem-Solving: Address any installation challenges and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Documentation: Maintain records of completed projects, upload photos and notes to each job.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in door and window installation.
Proficiency with tools and equipment used in carpentry and installation.
Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
General liability insurance, $1,000,000 umbrella policy, workers’ compensation coverage, auto insurance policy, LRRP lead renovator certificate and LRRP EPA firm certificate are required for all sub-contractors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with custom or specialty installations.
Certification in carpentry or related field.
Familiarity with energy-efficient window and door products.
Compensation:
Pays per job, with annual earnings ranging from $50,000 to $75,000 based on performance and workload.
Compensation is project-based.
