Job description

We are a diverse company that provides supports to adult clients with developmental disabilities (Down Syndrome, Autism, etc.) living in community homes.

CSS believes in respect for all human beings and providing great living environments that are well maintained. This position will provide maintenance to our properties.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities (licensed group homes in residential communities)

- Respond to maintenance requests (work order forms) from County Director (supervisor)

- Maintain and respect company work vehicle, work trailer and tools

- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues, recommend solutions and/or repair

- Basic good working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, hard surface flooring installation and carpentry

- Good communication skills to relay information and updates with County Director (supervisor) as needed

-Ability to use company cell phone, email and/or copier at office as needed / must complete daily (paper) log

-Ability to assess seasonal needs / such as furnace filter changes, gutter cleanings, smoke detector batteries, dryer exhaust vents and basic roof assessment

-Willingness to meet annually with city fire inspectors to ensure (6) licensed homes stay in state compliance

-Assist with scheduling company van repairs to auto garage / we do basics in house like battery jumps, flat tire change, lock outs, etc.

-Competency to prioritize urgent matters as they arise and then flexibility to start repairs

-Adhere to budgetary constraints

-Represent company and self in a professional manner while transacting business which includes communication with fellow employees

-Willingness to do light snow removal

Requirements:

- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field required

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues

- Knowledge of group homes a plus BUT NOT required

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

- Capability to multi-task

-Capacity to work around individuals with special needs

REQUIRED:

-High school diploma, valid Driver's License (less than 6 points), auto insurance, clean criminal background and negative drug test ALL REQUIRED

On-call required . for when after hours needs arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.26 - $22.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
