POSITION: Maintenance Technician (Levels I & III)
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing laundry production and building equipment. This role includes performing preventative maintenance, equipment installation, and other assigned duties to ensure safe, efficient operations.
Level I technicians perform skilled maintenance tasks under moderate supervision.
Level III technicians are the most experienced, with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues, mentor others, and handle advanced technical repairs with minimal supervision.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and production equipment
Install new equipment and systems as needed
Perform routine preventative maintenance procedures
Handle and work safely with chemicals as required
Ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Work from ladders, man lifts, and elevated platforms as required
Complete work orders in a safe, timely, and efficient manner
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Core Skills (Both Levels):
Mechanical repair and maintenance
Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
Basic welding skills (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use
Advanced Skills (Level III):
Electrical controls and PLC troubleshooting/programming
Complex diagnostic work across multiple systems
Ability to train and mentor less experienced technicians
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for 8–12 hours with minimal breaks
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds (100 pounds for certain tasks)
Ability to bend, climb ladders, and work in hot environments
Use of ladders and man lifts as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Level I:
High school diploma or equivalent (12th-grade reading/writing level)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in machine repair (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing)
Level III:
Minimum 7 years’ experience with advanced troubleshooting in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
Experience with PLCs and electrical controls preferred
All Levels:
Acceptable background check
Ability to pass a drug test

Occasional Saturdays as required
