Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

Description This search is being conducted by Steve Spinello.We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in DAYTON, Tennessee. The selected candidate will be tasked with managing the accounts payable functions, fostering relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring precise processing and recording of the company's payables Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies related to the accounts payable functions to ensure compliance with company guidelines Facilitate timely and accurate payments, adhering to due dates, and exploiting cash-discount opportunities Supervise routine department activities such as disbursing checks and processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Collaborate closely with other departments to address and resolve complex accounts payable issues Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors Generate financial reports related to the accounts payable department Conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and mentorship to staff.Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience within the Accounts Payable department of a manufacturing industry Proficiency in using an ERP Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures Solid understanding and application of Accrual Accounting Experience in Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Supervisory experience preferred Ability to make Adjusting Journal Entries as per business requirements Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysisRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
