We are seeking a skilled and proactive HVAC/Maintenance Property Technician. As a primary member of our team, the Property Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the overall appearance of our property. While your primary focus will be completing service requests for HVAC, your will also be responsible for routine maintenance requests including, plumbing, electrical, drywall repair and carpentry. This position requires a passion for hands on work, problems solving abilities and a can-do attitude.

HVAC/Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

Determine customer concerns with their current HVAC system.

Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.

Perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance.

Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.

Maintain accurate inventory of all HVAC and maintenance equipment and HVAC resources.

Address leaks, clogs, and all plumbing issues.

Manage and fix electrical wiring in residents’ apartments.

Handle basic carpentry and drywall repair on interior and exterior of building.

Assist in maintaining the exterior of the building including picking up debris and bulk items.

HVAC Technician Requirements and Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.

Completion of an HVAC training program at a vocational school or apprenticeship.

Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required.

Proficient with manual and power tools.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Reliable and self-motivated.

Willingness to work on-call.

Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.

Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any warning signs of potential problems are not overlooked.

Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and on your feet. Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds unassisted.
