Summary Description: Performs sales support activities with customers.
Essential Job Duties:
Coordinates technical and sales support activities with Sales Manager, Outside Sales Staff, and Operations Manager.
Performs technical and sales support activities, including:
New product introductions and demonstrations
Technical paint problem solving
Mixing system installation and training
Technical assistance and support
Problem solving of color computer system along with PPG Support
Demos paint systems, tools, and equipment
Coordinates paint system demonstrations with customers
Trains customers in materials inventory management and control
Performs color matching in the field
Participates in and conducts existing and new product demonstrations with customers and factory representatives.
Attends and participates in all sales meetings.
Participates in sales training programs.
Equipment, Tools, and Materials Used:
1. Telephone
2. Paint and body air, electric, and hand tools (for demonstration and training)
3. Air compressor, air dryer, solvent recycler, gun washer, paint booth
4. Paint mixing equipment, paint scale
5. Spectrophotometer, mil thickness gauge
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Knowledge:
Technical product knowledge.
Sales (people, technical, and product knowledge).
Skills:
In general, normal vision, speech, hearing, coordination of hands, feet, etc. (psychomotor activities) in order to perform tasks with ease and precision.
Experience:
Automotive painting or body as a production technician , including:
Paint formulas and procedures to properly mix paint.
Computer knowledge including paint retrieval system operations.
Abilities:
Application of the knowledge base, including: analyzing, calculating, creating, conceptualizing, communicating, listening, etc.
Job Requirements:
The employee for the position of Technical Sales Specialist at Sagles must meet the following job requirements:
The employee must have a valid State Drivers License.
The employee must be clean and neat and dress in clean and appropriate clothes.
The employee must have normal color vision (using Ishihara's Tests for Color Blindness.)
