Job description
Inspecting vacant units: Thoroughly reviewing a recently vacated apartment or house to identify any necessary repairs or replacements, including issues with paint, flooring, fixtures, appliances, and more.
Minor repairs: Performing small-scale repairs such as fixing minor drywall damage, patching holes, replacing light switches, fixing leaky faucets, and addressing minor cosmetic issues.
Painting and touch-ups: Touching up paintwork, repainting areas with minor blemishes, and ensuring consistent paint color throughout the unit.
Appliance installation: Installing new appliances or ensuring existing appliances are properly functioning and secured.
Cleaning and debris removal: Removing trash, dust, and debris from the unit, including cleaning floors, windows, and appliances.
Light carpentry: Making minor adjustments to cabinetry, trim, and doors
Maintaining documentation: Keeping detailed records of completed repairs and punch list items
Coordinating with other trades: Collaborating with other maintenance staff or contractors to address more complex repairs that may be required
Skills and qualifications for a punch technician:
Handyman skills: A strong understanding of basic construction techniques, including painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
Attention to detail: Ability to identify even minor imperfections and ensure a high standard of quality in repairs
Physical ability: Comfortable with lifting moderate weights and working on ladders
Time management: Ability to efficiently complete tasks within a set timeframe
Customer service skills: May need to interact with tenants or property managers to address concerns
Summary
As a Multi-Site Punch Technician, you will be integral to our construction projects, ensuring quality and precision in various tasks across multiple sites. Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will utilize core skills in hand and power tools while applying your premium expertise in construction management and inspection. Your role will involve collaborating with teams, interpreting blueprints, and delivering excellent customer service. With relevant skills in carpentry, drywall, and construction painting, you will contribute to the successful completion of projects while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
