Ideal candidates will understand the role of a DSP is to provide a unique type of healthcare service to people in the community. They will be motivated to meet the needs of the people they support in a variety of ways, including but not limited to providing assistance with housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal prep, personal care needs, medication administration, guided medical oversight, and transportation to doctor appointments and recreational activities. They will put the needs of the individual before their own while on shift, have great communication skills, be reliable, caring, and detail-oriented. Experience is preferred but not required. Paid training is provided, including First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration Certification and more.
