Join our best-in-class team today through the following opportunity: Requisition Summary PACCAR Engine Company has an immediate opening for a Traffic Coordinator Intern in Columbus, MS. Job Functions / Responsibilities

Must be self-motivated, well-organized, flexible, and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation with a high sense of urgency.

Schedule, expedite, and monitor shipments for inbound and outbound material.

Maintain record retention according to PACCAR Company Policy.

Prepare export shipments within the SAP

Maintain accurate tracking information/reporting

Ability to make balanced business decisions with regard to freight routing.

Communicates with freight carriers to coordinate shipping lanes and activities.

Files freight claims for loss or damage with carriers

Evaluates carrier routes and alternative carriers as needed.

HazMat trained and shipment document preparation

Periodic travel for training is required.

Preparation and submission of Customs Export Documents

Ability to work a flexible schedule – hours may vary on occasion in order to support production requirements.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required

Traffic experience is preferred, but not required.

Organizational skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Strong analytical skills required

Working knowledge of SAP

Customer service oriented

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with the internet

Must be able to multi-task

Candidate must be able to operate independently and with little to no guidance.

Must be a positive contributor to a team environment.

Ability to work a flexible work schedule.

Must be a positive contributor to a team environment.
