Our goal is to continue producing strong relationships between our alumni and The Ohio State University.THE ROLEThe Sr. Associate, Marketing, combines key strategy areas of content generation, digital marketing, and business analytics to enhance the larger work of Legends Marketing and Advancement Marketing and Communications (AMC), which supports engagement and fundraising efforts across Ohio State. Reporting to Sr. Manager, Marketing, the (SAM) is responsible for executing strategic marketing objectives through responsibilities in writing, digital marketing, and business analytics that are managed through Legends. The position operates within Legends Marketing and in coordination with AMC to execute their key responsibilities. Partnering with experts across the University, the Sr. Associate, Marketing provides expertise on allocated marketing projects from AMC and generates key insights to inform organizational priorities. They track, maintain, and provide oversight on broad performance to influence marketing strategy both within Legends Marketing and externally.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Execute essential writing functions in support of the Advancement Marketing Communications team, with particular emphasis on philanthropic messaging.

Understand, retain, and incorporate critical brand guidelines and standards into all content produced.

Plan and execute assigned web, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns in coordination with AMC.

Provide expertise to support the identification of key strategies for maximum ROI.

Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) to internal team and external partners.

Maintain meticulous internal process for insight collection and documentation.

Identify and share insights, best practices and strategies with Legends stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Business, or English preferred.

Three years’ experience in marketing agency or similar function preferred.

Three years’ experience in content generation across multiple platforms and mediums.

A true storyteller with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive copy with an emphasis on philanthropic language.

Self-motivated and ability to work as a team member in a large and complex organization.

An authentic storytellers with exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to craft compelling and persuasive copy, with a particular emphasis on philanthropic messaging.

High degree of organization and information retention.

Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
