Description Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Internal Audit professional to support a 1 month SOX testing engagement with a client in the Utilities/Infrastructure industry, located in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves aiding in the completion of 150 hours of SOX testing and documentation. Role can be done 100% remotely working on an EST schedule.Responsibilities: Conduct SOX testing in accordance with established guidelines. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with SOX regulations. Identify and report on any SOX compliance issues or discrepancies. Utilize SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge to enhance testing procedures. Leverage internal audit skills to evaluate and improve internal processes. Document and communicate testing results and findings effectively. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Stay abreast of changes in SOX regulations and implement necessary updates. Collaborate with other team members to achieve project deadlines. Provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of SOX compliance.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, preferably with an emphasis on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Proficient knowledge of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Demonstrated ability to conduct internal audits and generate detailed reports. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and auditing software. Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and changes in regulations. Ability to travel as necessary to perform audit activities.
