Job DescriptionA large client of Insight Global is looking for a fully remote, more "behind the scenes" Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team. This will not be an agent facing role, but it will be working with inspections. Essential functions of the position are to evaluate and underwrite all Preferred Lines new business, amendments, and renewal business risks referred from the Underwriting Decision System. Review all information to evaluate and assess the overall risk with a focus on ensuring proper plan placement and obtaining adequate premium for the exposure. As well as, review inspections in accordance with Operations workflow practices and standards. Additional responsibilities will include: Completing Claims referrals, Status Summaries, and Risk Alert referrals. Responding to customer inquiries, including but not limited to, Live Chats, Complaint Letters, and Policy Information requests. Identifying product risks and recommending solutions to mitigate those risks. Advising business units on recommended necessary risk reduction actions and solutions to maintain and/or restore profitability. Conducting Agency Audits to ensure compliance with Personal Lines policies, product filings, state and federal laws and regulations, and the agency electronic commerce agreement. This candidate must educate agencies about the client's Personal Lines products, services, automation, cross selling, and underwriting standards, and keep agents up to date with Underwriting and/or product changes. You will assist with agency development as necessary and maintain on-going relationships with agents. Must adhere to Operations production and service standards and differentiators.Skills and Requirements3+ Years of Personal Lines Underwriting Experience.Carrier Experience over Agency Experience.Knowledge of State Regulatory Laws.Excellent attention to detail, written, & verbal communication skills.
