Description We are in search of a Medical Receptionist for our healthcare facility located in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves the provision of administrative support within a busy medical office environment. The successful candidate will be required to coordinate patient care, perform data entry tasks, handle incoming calls, verify insurance details, and schedule appointments. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Coordinate patient care by liaising with medical professionals and patients Handle data entry tasks efficiently, ensuring all patient details are accurate and up to date Respond to incoming calls professionally and politely, addressing queries and concerns as necessary Verify insurance details of patients to ensure accurate billing procedures Schedule appointments for patients based on their needs and doctor availability Utilize medical software such as Allscripts, EHR System, Medisoft, and NextGen for various tasks Carry out billing functions and keep track of patient payments Create charts and graphs as required to visualize patient data Have a basic understanding of chiropractic practices and clinical trial operations Handle patient calls professionally, assisting with check-ins and providing necessary information. Requirements Must have proficiency in medical software including Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medisoft, and NextGen Experience with Microsoft Excel and creating charts and graphs is essential Must have a strong understanding of medical insurance procedures Experience with handling patient calls and patient check-in is necessary Must have experience in billing functions within a medical setting Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines Strong organizational skills and ability to manage patient records efficiently Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service skills and patient-oriented approach Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally Must be able to work in a team and collaborate effectively with medical staff.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
