Let us be the best place you'll ever work.This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, fully testing and managing our company's network infrastructure.This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of network engineers ranging in experience and expertise. Leadership will be required in areas including prioritization, escalations, high-profile troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design, security, and performance optimization.What You’ll DoDesign and implement network solutions to meet cross-functional business requirements.Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including wireless access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.Advise a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.What You’ll NeedMinimum 10 years of experience in network engineering.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or other related field required.Certifications Preferred: CCNP, CCIE, etc.Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Superior troubleshooting and investigatory skills with a strong sense of urgency in high-profile outage situations.In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, FCOE and FC environments.Ability to implement & deliver complex technical projects within a defined schedule covering LAN, WAN, Wireless, 4/5G, SD-WAN, VPNs, NAC, and Zero Trust.Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and other core networking hardware.Expertise in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in network performance tuning and optimization.Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.Experience with network security technologies and best practices.#LI-TD1#LI-HYBRIDInternal Associates: Already a member of the Safelite team?
