Description Summary:The IS Application Manager supervisor will be responsible for plan, delivery and run activities of Huntington's Digital Commercial capabilities related to Rich Internet Application (RIA). In this position, the successful candidate will design and implement complex IT solutions that are in line with the enterprise architecture roadmap using .NET, Angular, React and Java. Will deliver well designed quality software in a fast-paced agile environment.Supervises development team(s) and assigns development staff to the specific initiatives for which the team is responsible for. This individual will provide technical leadership, management, and hands on delivery for prioritized portal re-design features.This leader will ensure that the team members are appropriately trained, mentored, and coached for completion of job duties. Determines user needs, establishes priorities, and plans, directs, and monitors work.This leader evaluates project status and recommends solution and architectural changes to improve efficiency and reduce or avoid tech debt. Ensures that deadlines and budgets are met, risk is managed and reduced, and Application Risk related App Scan and Pen tests results for application are fixed in a timely manner.Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all development team deliverables are planned and completed. For example, sprint planning, backlog grooming estimates, detailed design, development, unit/automated testing, defect fixes, implementation planning/execution, change controls, and production support/incident resolution.
Track and report on the development team's progress completing deliverables (code, documentation, grooming, etc.) using systems like ADO and case management.
Provide hands on development to ensure that deliverables are completed while also staffing application development teams.
Drive staffing decisions and activity for the development team (recruiting, engagement with HR/suppliers/vendors, interviewing, candidate selection, onboarding, etc.).
Provide technical leadership to the development team with design direction, code reviews, and unit testing direction.
Provide partnership and guidance to testers, analysts, and Business stakeholders.
Diagnose root causes to complex technical problems like performance, availability, internal and external application integrations, database, middleware (webserver, application server, MQ), network, etc.
Provide L3 production guidance and lead 24/7/365 support across the teams.
Research and facilitate the monitoring, high availability, and support methodology for our production environment.
Maintain evergreen system documentation containing design content, developer guidelines, onboarding procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years of hands-on development using React, Angular, Java EE technologies that provide RESTful web services, incoming/outgoing file processing, and user interface capabilities and asynchronous event-based integrations with technologies like MQ and Kafka.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years leading others in the development of software in a team environment.
Work well in a team environment.
Ability to take on issues and bring them to completion making sure a consistent delivery process is followed.
Self-motivated and able to lead others.
Able to work well under pressure when required
Available for on-call production support as needed
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
