Let us be the best place you'll ever work.A Brief OverviewThe Manager, Indirect Procurement Category Management is responsible for developing and deploying a sourcing strategy, ensuring operational excellence and continuity of supply, including leadership of field services spend that supports Safelite stores and fulfillment locations. You will lead a team of Procurement Buyers to analyze spend, identify opportunities, and implement programs across field locations to deliver significant savings. The role heavily relies on partnership and influencing of key stakeholders and business leaders across field operations and driving strategic initiatives to optimize procurement processes and enhance operational efficiency. Teamwork and high customer service orientation are a must.What you will doLeadership and category ownership of Indirect Procurement categories, with a focus on all field spend categories for Safelite store and fulfillment locations. Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives.Develop and implement category strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders and leadership teams to create competitive advantage for Safelite by maximizing value and minimizing cost across categories. Could include but not limited to optimization & implementation of national procurement programs.Analyzing spend profiles and incorporate market trends to identify opportunities in specified procurement categories, obtaining buy-in, and implementing the initiatives, to deliver cost reduction, cost avoidance and/or service improvementsRegularly reviewing and refining the category strategies to ensure they remain relevant, appropriate and current. Maintain and champion supplier relationships across categories.Where relevant, championing and accelerating plans for standardization or specification and/or supplier consolidation across the indirect categoriesPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsEducation QualificationsBachelor's Degree in business, finance, supply chain, procurement, or a related field, or equivalent RequiredExperience Qualifications7-9 years Experience in a procurement, supply chain, or similar role utilizing strong negotiation skills RequiredExperience in a sourcing or similar role using strong qualitative and quantitative skills to independently find and qualify appropriate suppliers based on business need RequiredExperience acting as a trusted advisor to the business identifying areas of opportunity and appropriately communicating solution to senior leadership RequiredExperience identifying, assessing and mitigating potential risks related to suppliers, contracts, and compliance, while ensuring continuous monitoring and contingency planning to safeguard the supply chain RequiredExperience managing direct reports RequiredExperience in Indirect Procurement leadership and support of field services (store, and/or fulfillment) operations and requirements, particularly in a retail or fulfillment environment RequiredSkills and AbilitiesUnderstanding of Indirect procurement processes, supply chain dynamics, and vendor management. Creation of clear & defined category strategy plans. (High proficiency)Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor a team of buyers and senior buyers (Medium proficiency)Excellent internal and external negotiation skills to secure favorable business outcomes (High proficiency)Ability to develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives (Medium proficiency)Communication skills – verbal, written, interpersonal.
