Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe CenterWell Primary Care Compensation Principal collaborates with aligned business leaders, the compensation team, and human resources partners to create, implement, and administer compensation programs. This position requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function, segment, and enterprise. The CenterWell Primary Care Compensation Principal will have expertise in designing and administering business-aligned pay programs for physicians, advanced practitioners, clinicians, and support staff.Summary of Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business leaders, and human resources partners to design, and implement compensation programs that align with organizational goals and strategies. Ensures pay programs drive the right behaviors, are holistic, competitive, and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert on market trends and pay strategies that impact physician, advanced practitioner, and clinical pay trends and practices. Translate research, trends and best practices into plan design and administration solutions that help drive business outcomes.
Effectively consult with internal partners including total rewards, compensation, talent acquisition, HR, finance, and other support teams to ensure seamless consultative approach to business leaders.
As process owner, guide leaders and HR Partners through cyclical salary administration programs (base, bonus, equity). Manage the full process, from strategy through execution and ensure decisions fall within budget parameters.
Lead and/or participate in the strategy, design, and execution of broader compensation projects. Build compensation team's knowledge on provider and clinical compensation trends.
Provide on-going guidance to leaders, HR business partners, talent acquisition on position and offer reviews.
Provide in-depth consultation and expertise to multiple levels of leadership on all matters related to compensation, recommending solutions that address business opportunities and further our compensation philosophies.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to navigate through ambiguous situations with HR partners, and leaders at multiple leadership levels in the organization.
Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
8+ years' experience in compensation program design, analysis, and implementation including 2+ years providing compensation support for healthcare organizations.
Demonstrated ability to establish and develop strong partnerships and connections with key senior stakeholders and internal clients across numerous functional areas - including business segment leadership, HR, Finance
Record of success in thinking deeply through complex topics/business problems and developing and successfully implementing well thought through plans.
Proven expertise in problem resolution, including demonstrating the data and analytics skills to identify and connect common linkages.
Possess a high level of personal accountability, execution, ability to influence, and critical thinking.
Highly organized and self-driven with an ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
Previous experience working within a team-based atmosphere with shared responsibility.
Experience navigating in a large company with a complex and heavily matrixed organizational structure.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years' experience leading compensation in a healthcare company focused on delivering value-based care
3+ years' experience in Physician, Advanced Practitioner Compensation including design and evaluation of compensation structures, incentives, programs, and processes.
Experience in a consulting firm specializing in designing physician, advanced practitioner pay programs
Demonstrated ability to create programs that attract and retain healthcare Clinicians.
Additional InformationScheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$136,200 - $187,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
