Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Buyer to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for reviewing reports and purchasing materials, adjusting pricing, and collaborating with various departments such as accounting and shipping. You will also leverage your expertise in Pricing Analysis, Data Reporting, and Purchasing Functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.Responsibilities: Review reports and make informed purchasing decisions Regularly adjust and update pricing based on market trends and company goals Collaborate with various departments, including accounting and shipping, to ensure smooth operations Use software tools such as VLU and Epicor P21 to manage tasks and generate reports Ensure timely order entry and expedite shipping and logistics when necessary Handle multitasking in a fast-paced work environment Respond to price change requests in a timely manner Use your skills in Pricing Analysis and Data Reporting to make informed decisions Utilize your knowledge of Purchasing Materials and Functions to optimize the buying process Communicate effectively with inside sales teams and other stakeholders. Requirements Demonstrated experience in a Buyer role or similar position Proficiency in Pricing Analysis Proven ability in Data Reporting Experience in Purchasing Materials Knowledge of Purchasing Functions Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships Proficient in relevant software applications Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
