Back End Java Developer

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Back End Java Developer in Columbus, Ohio. This role will involve working closely with our development team to create enterprise APIs and the necessary production infrastructure to ensure performance scale and reliability. Responsibilities: Participate in the development of modern REST API’s using Java Spring Boot CICD Cloud enabled services Container both on-premises and in the cloud Collaborate with system design teams on server layout, availability, disaster recovery planning, and production deployments Contribute to software and data design considerations, including database schema, storage considerations, data mapping and storage efficiency Work on software delivery, creating server architecture, table layouts, highly available data resources, and configuring highly performant data sources Engage in the use and setup of Kafka, with a focus on analyzing proper use cases and considering environment setup, enrichment, and transformations Collaborate with other engineers and architects to create a common API layer between different data sources and applications Develop software in an agile environment, leveraging DevOps for environment setup, automated builds, continuous deployment, continuous integration, and automated testing Play a crucial role in implementing enterprise services and APIs under the guidance of the architectural team and engineering leadership Deliver rapid, scalable, and quality solutions that meet business needs, and develop and implement unit test code and automated test scripts as part of regular development activities Work closely with other engineers, vendor partners, and business owners to ensure the finished solution meets the needs of the business and our customers Follow industry standard agile software design methodologies and introduce and evolve existing processes and methods required for maturing integration development, implementation, and operation of our key platforms.Requirements Possess strong customer service skills to interact with clients and understand their requirements Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously Quality-oriented mindset to ensure the delivery of high standard solutions Proficiency in database design and management for optimal data handling Demonstrated leadership skills to guide, inspire and manage a team Experience in production and implementation of software solutions Strong engineering background to understand and solve complex technical issues Familiarity with Agile Scrum methods for efficient project management Knowledge of cloud technologies for deployment and integration of solutions Integration skills to ensure smooth functioning of various software components Proficiency in collaboration tools to work effectively in a team Expertise in Java programming for backend development Experience with Agile methodologies to adapt to changing project requirements Knowledge of GitHub for version control and code sharing Business analysis skills to understand project requirements and propose solutions Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients Understanding of storage technologies for efficient data handling Proficiency in Spring Framework for application development Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs Strong understanding of various methodologies for software development Familiarity with different frameworks for efficient software development Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field.
