The desired candidate should possess the following skill-sets for strong consideration for this position:
Advanced understanding of Audio/Music recording, mixing and mastering.
Proficient in Adobe Suite of software tools within both a Mac and PC environment.
Photography and Video editing experience preferred but not required. A healthy attitude and eagerness to learn strongly encouraged.
Willingness to assist with the department’s continued growth and evolution
Candidate should be a strategic thinker and creative problem solver and be able to provide evidence of both

Position Summary:
The Media Arts Assistant Manager will work under the supervision of the Media Arts Director to provide and expand media arts services to the students of the Focus Schools and the Columbus Community.

Position Overview:
The assistant Media Arts Manager will be responsible for the operations of Media Arts Lab Areas as well as being involved in all Media Arts planning and programming. These are programs developed within eSchool Consultants and will serve Focus Learning Academy Southeast, Focus Learning Academy Southwest, and Focus North High School. The candidates primary responsibilities will be at Focus Learning Academy Southeast’s Audio/Music Recording Studio (Refugee Studios) with assistance as needed, requested and assigned by the Media Arts Director at Focus Learning Academy Southwest and Focus North High School.
The assistant Media Arts Manager will work in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Media Arts Director to plan and maintain work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance and learning for all students involved with programs conducted within the Media Arts Labs.
The assistant Media Arts Manager will assist in the management of all Media Arts programs which will be developed to guide students through needed programs to match graduation requirements as defined by the State of Ohio, eSchool Consultants, Focus Learning Academies Southeast and Southwest and Focus North High School. Additionally, the Media Arts Department works closely with the Career and Technical Education department (CTE) as well as Information Technology (IT) to collaborate on cross-program success.
