Seeking part-time administrative assistant to assist with handling customer service (senior clientele) by phone at an independent Medicare insurance agency. We expect the position to be 6-10+ hours per week during training. There may be a possibility for more hours as the employee’s skillset improves. This is a low-key, business casual environment where the owner occasionally brings one of his dogs to spend a day at the office. We are a small business with one agent and several administrative employees.
Salary: $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities
The position normally has a light to moderate workload; however, several months of the year are very busy with important deadlines. Primary duties will be answering phones, scheduling appointments, creating plan comparisons with industry-specific software, and handling customer service issues as they arise (speaking with the insurance company and/or the client). This position will assist the agent/business owner as well as assist the other administrative assistants.
Qualifications
The right candidate for this position should have:
· An optimistic, positive attitude, and the ability to be friendly and relational with customers. A caring person is needed because our customers will count on you
· Good clerical and computer skills: Microsoft Office, internet browsers, data entry, fast typing
· Dependability and the ability to multi-task
· Flexibility to adapt to the day-to-day needs of assisting the agent with general office support
· Strong organizational skills
