Title: Saw Operator

Shift: 2nd Shift, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Salary: $15.00 + /hr

Our client is a highly reputable metal fabricating and distribution company in Ohio. A manufacturer of tooling steel for industries like auto, home appliance, medical devices, they have several job openings for various skilled laborers in multiple locations.

Saw Operator Role:

We are searching for a Saw Operator to support clients in the Midwest, Trans-Atlantic, and Southeastern states. The ideal candidate will be able to work accurately and safely with power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes to cut metals.

Saw Operator Responsibilities:

-Cut various grating products as defined by job orders

-Verify cutting accuracy while optimizing material usage

-Accurately review all daily job orders in order to maximize efforts when cutting stock materials

-Accurately complete all paperwork and timesheets to properly manage inventory

-Safe operation and use of various power tools

-Safe operation and usage of forklifts and overhead cranes to assist in the movement and placement of materials

-Work with other members of a team of fabricators

-Troubleshoot and assist operators with fabrication or related questions in the business units as required

-Perform other duties and cross-train as assigned by supervision

About You:

-High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

-Previous experience with fabrication, crane operation, metal processing and material handling equipment

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures and instructions and write short notes or memos

-Knowledge of both metric and inch measuring systems and ability to use and care for precision measuring equipment and tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other tools and gauges

-Knowledge on how to use and safely operate various hand and power tools

-Natural team player and willing to help with other machines as needed
