Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases through patient education and clinical expertise. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with our dental team to provide high-quality care to our patients while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.

Conduct thorough dental examinations, including charting and recording periodontal conditions.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized advice for maintaining optimal dental health.

Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants to prevent cavities.

Assist the dentist in the detection of oral diseases and abnormalities.

Evaluate and document patients' oral health history and update medical records.

Collaborate with the dental team to create treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Monitor and record patients' progress during and after dental procedures.

Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene, new technologies, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.

Current state licensure and CPR certification.

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist.

Strong knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and sterilization methods.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient education.

Attention to detail and thoroughness in clinical procedures.

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

Continuous commitment to professional development and staying updated on industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in additional dental hygiene specialties.

Experience with dental software and electronic health records.
