We are expanding and now in need of a Lead Cook/Kitchen Manager.
This position will report directly to the owner.
This person will be expected to work 35+ hours per week and help organize/train/lead a group of line/prep cooks through their daily duties and through volume based on the direction of the owners.
Standing around and doing busy work is NOT this job.
80% of the time YOU will be on the line cooking. 20% will be counting, organizing, cleaning, and giving direction.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION.
If you cannot cook eggs, Benedict, Poached, etcplease don't waste our time.
Requirements:
1. Must be able to work 35+ hours per week.
2. Must not have another job.
3. Must be flexible and able to work days AND nights. In as early as 6am, late as 10pm.
4. Must take direction and corrections well in high stress environments. No attitude. No arguing.
5. If things hit the fan, you're the one that bails out the kitchen.
6. Must have 1 or more years in a supervisory kitchen role.
7. Taking out trash and doing dishes is not above anyone. Including you.
8. Lifting 50lbs is a must.
This is a "Yes sir" "No sir" kitchen. Nothing else will be tolerated. "Job Hoppers" need not apply. If you have worked in 3 places in the last year we simply will not be calling you.
