Primary Purpose
Execute a world class food service, as part of the Cleveland Guardians organizational nutrition philosophy, to optimize health and performance of Cleveland Guardian players, coaches, and staff.
We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and is eager to contribute to a clean, efficient, and well-organized kitchen environment. This position is essential to ensuring smooth kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with basic food preparation.
Core Responsibilities/Duties:
Primary responsibilities include the following practices implemented during the competitive season, and the offseason:
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, kitchen, and storage spaces.
Assist with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling prep items.
Properly store and label ingredients and supplies.
Take out trash and recycling, ensuring kitchen sanitation standards are met.
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Assist kitchen staff with additional tasks as needed in front and back of the house
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Role Requirements:
1 year of experience in a similar role in a restaurant or professional kitchen.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and positive personality with a focus on providing good hospitality.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for long periods.
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative and able to succeed in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience:
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
Organizational Requirements:
Reads, speaks, comprehends, and communicates English effectively in all communications (inclusive of English as a second language).
Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public.
Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Front Office.
