Lead the sourcing and contracting strategy for multiple spend categories across Cleveland Clinic.

Develop, implement and maintain processes for contract analysis and compliance to drive strategic objectives including cost reduction, value creation and risk mitigation.

Leads the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for multiple spend categories designed to meet long-term enterprise goals. Presents approach and provides recommendations to leadership.

Assists leadership in training, developing, coaching and mentoring junior-level team members.

Leads multi-disciplinary teams across product categories to identify and recommend sourcing opportunities, including cost savings, value creation and risk management. Provides direction on execution of identified opportunities, related analysis and engagement of junior-analysts where applicable.

Reviews assigned categories for strengths, weaknesses, operational effectiveness and opportunities.

Leads multiple, complex contracts and sourcing events through entire life-cycle. Independently prepares requests for proposals, information, quotation and reviews incoming bids against applicable criteria such as quality, price, product availability, distribution method, risk, etc. Engages and guides junior-level analysts through less-complex sourcing events where appropriate.

Leads contract negotiation and product strategy, including the development of category KPIs where applicable.

Leads enterprise contract conversions and acquired hospital integration efforts. Evaluates opportunity, gains stakeholder buy-in, communicates product/service changes, coordinates training and ensures product/service is converted. Provides reporting on outcomes, including cost savings, value creation and risk mitigation.

Leads legal review process and facilitates appropriate contract approvals (committees, review boards, etc.) in accordance with internal policies and compliance requirements. Reviews contract terms, changes or enhancements.

Leads supplier relationships ensuring that enterprise business needs are met.

Reviews contractual performance to ensure compliance with terms and to identify conflicts or changes requiring resolution at contract renewal

May lead or participate in vendor business reviews including KPI review and development of performance improvement plans.

Independently prepares and presents complex contract analysis, including rebate and compliance analysis, to cross functional teams.

Models excellence in customer service.

Leads by example demonstrating proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives and conducts business according to established principles and guidelines.

Reviews current information (such as advertising literature, trade journals, etc.) regarding assigned goods and services to remain up to date on applicable technologies.

May lead Excelerate (GPO) contract negotiations and projects across multiple categories.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, business or a related field.

Master's Degree preferred.

Certifications:

None required.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex business ideas and gain strategic buy-in.

Proven ability to negotiate, influence and understand complex business strategies.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.

Work Experience:

Minimum of seven years of experience in forecasting, inventory, contract management, analytical project management or other related supply chain experience.

Experience with key financial and non-financial contract terms, legal issues and contract analysis. Ability to review, enhance, change and write contract language to exact terms and conditions required for prudent purchasing and sourcing practice.

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

May require occasional sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations to attend meetings.

Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.

Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.

Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $44.53Maximum hourly: $67.92The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
