Senior Accountant

Job Description:The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the overall objectives of the department by applying appropriate accounting principles to transactions, reconciling, and analyzing accounts, maintaining appropriate accounting records, and supporting the business unit. Responsibilities:Timely and accurate processing of financial transactionsPrepare and maintain adequate support for all transactions and journal entriesParticipate in monthly, quarter, and year end account close requirementsReconciliation of General Ledger accounts at month-endParticipate in compiling, analyzing and reporting financial informationParticipate in the annual Physical inventory or Cycle Counting processAssist with annual audit by external public accounting firmCalculation and filing of sales and use taxesFocus on continuous improvement of work with additional attention on reducing and eliminating wasteSpecial projects as needed
