Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary:Working closely with the principal investigator, assists with all aspects of laboratory experiments, includes working small and large animals, in cooperation with research associates and under the guidance and direction of a faculty member, staff scientist, or laboratory manager. Maintain established laboratory standards and quality control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science.
Relevant experience in a laboratory or research setting.
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a research lab.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate laboratory equipment.Preferred:
Three years of experience performing research work in a laboratory setting.Physical Demands:
May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Requires some exposure to chemicals and biological fluids.
Ability to read job related documents.
Ability to use computer.
