Program Director, General Surgery ResidencyCleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital, part of one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, is looking for a Director to lead its General Surgery Residency Program. The South Pointe General Surgery Residency is a unique community-based program with a strong history of osteopathic principals and practice. In addition, it has a very collaborative core team. The residency program is accredited by the ACGME with continued osteopathic recognition.The Program Director has responsibility, authority and accountability for the operations of the General Surgery Residency. Candidates must have completed an ACGME or AOA-Accredited General Surgery Residency, be board certified in General Surgery by ABS or AOA, and possess requisite clinical, educational, and administrative experience beyond residency training.The Program Director reports directly to the Department Chair of General Surgery. In addition, they play a key role with stakeholder communication and leadership in the milieu of GME at South Pointe Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic. The Program Director dedicates no less than 30% of their professional effort to the administrative and educational activities of the General Surgery educational program and receives institutional support for this time.
