At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.J54 is one of seven Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units that specializes in heart and lung transplants, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), LVAD, Impella, coronary artery bypass surgery, and valve repair or replacement. All post-operative patients come directly from the operating room and are recovered, stabilized, weaned and extubated in these units. The units accept complex patients from other facilities that may have had surgical complications or those needing further evaluation for patients that other facilities may not have considered surgical candidates. The patient population is diverse with complex medical problems that may require IABP therapy or CRRT.A caregiver in this position works Evenings, from 3:00pm-11:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in a customer service-related role.
Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
College degree.
Microsoft Office experience.

Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
