Description We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role primarily involves working with Azure technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics. The Data Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing data pipelines and developing techniques for big data handling and analysis.Responsibilities: Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices. Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and conceptual models. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT team members on project goals. Use Azure Data Factory for the orchestration and ETL/ELT data movement. Utilize Azure Data Lake for storing and analyzing data. Implement Azure Synapse Analytics to blend big data and relational data. Translate business needs into data solutions. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of data systems. Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in a Data Engineer role or similar Proven expertise in Azure Data Factory Proficiency in Azure Data Lake Demonstrable experience with Azure Synapse Analytics Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred Strong understanding of database structures, principles, theories, and practices Ability to design and implement scalable ETL processes Familiarity with data architecture including data ingestion pipeline design, Hadoop information architecture, data modeling and data mining Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data issues Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other professionals.
