Responsibilities and Duties

Support Classroom Activities: Assist in conducting creative, educational, and play-based activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Child Supervision and Behavior Management : Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors. Assist in managing group behavior and encouraging positive interactions among children using appropriate techniques.

Personal Care: Support children with daily routines such as meals, diapering, potty training, and handwashing while promoting independence.

Classroom Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to ensure smooth daily operations and a cohesive learning environment.

Compliance: Adhere to all state childcare regulations and center policies, including safety, health, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education preferred.

Experience: Previous experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage groups of young children effectively.

Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Requirements:

Ability to pass a background check

Up-to-date immunizations and health screening, as required by state laws.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Physical ability to lift children, sit on the floor, and actively engage in activities.

Schedule and Availability:

This position is on-call and based on the childcare center’s needs. Availability during center operating hours is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
