seeking dog park attendees to provide excellent customer service while assisting with animal care and play yard monitoring. Duties include supervising off-leash dogs in our doggy daycare/dog park, maintaining a safe play environment, cleaning and maintaining facility equipment, taking drink orders and providing excellent customer service. Staff are self motivated, responsible adults with outgoing personalities looking to join a fun, fast-paced team.
Responsibilities:
Ability to monitor large groups dogs
This will require standing and walking the dog park area throughout the shift
Maintaining a clean and safe environment
Maintain control of large groups of dogs
Recognize abnormal dog behavior and be comfortable asking customers to be accountable for their dog’s behavior
Comfortable interacting with dogs, peers and guests
Managing guest schedules and appointments
Maintain vaccination records and behavioral notes of dogs on Taps & Tails software
Float between assisting in dog park as well as checking in dogs and guests
Demonstrate high level customer service to provide an exceptional experience for guests
Keep an organized workspace
Completes opening and closing side duties and checklists as assigned.
Navigate Point of Sale system for general transactions to assist in bar when needed
Checks identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Performs all other operational tasks as assigned by Management
Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with dogs
Comprehensive knowledge of dog behavior and dog care
The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude
Must be active and attentive at all times
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Able to respond quickly in an emergency situation to avoid imminent danger to self and others
Detail oriented
Ability to make decisions quickly
Must love dogs!
Physical Requirements:
Stand for long periods of time, up to and including an entire work shift
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb and descend stairs
Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a regular basis
May work indoors and outdoors as needed
