Key Responsibilities
Review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software and/or print outs.
Strong time-management skills and ability to stick to a tight schedule.
Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts.
Collaborate with engineering teams, and contractors.
Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop.
Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan.
Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly.
Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise.
Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Technical degree preferred.
Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly.
Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain stationary throughout a shift.
Knowledge of how to operate grinders, lathes, saws, laser cutters and milling machines.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents.
Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations.
