General Statement of DutiesMSD is seeking an experienced professional engineer to lead the Facilities Planning and Optimization Branch of the Metropolitan Sewer District's Wastewater Engineering Division. This employee leads a team of engineers that serve MSD operating divisions by ensuring capital assets are optimized and replaced in the most effective way possible, applying engineering and asset management best-practices. They will be a key stakeholder in MSD’s capital program prioritization and implementation efforts, and will manage budget, scope, and schedule for capital improvement projects and capital allowances. The employee is expected to effectively coordinate with other divisions, outside agencies including the Ohio EPA, Hamilton County and the general public.Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)(Illustrative only. In addition, each applicant must have seven years of experience of successful project management of transportation, construction, or design projects at the supervisory level. Promotional:Each applicant must have three years of experience as a Supervising Engineer with the City of Cincinnati.OTHER REQUIREMENTSPossession of registration with the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer. If not registered in Ohio when appointed, Ohio registration must be obtained during probationary period.
