You will apply operational excellence tools to achieve process improvement.What will you do?You will join the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) team (Continuous Improvement), tasked to promote lean six sigma principles and operational excellence standard methodologies across all functions, driving the company's dedication to excellence. You will:

Own continuous improvement through Operational Excellence.

Leading by example, embodying our 4 core i values, dedication to our customers.

Finding, developing and implementing, including basic cost-benefit analysis, new opportunities in order to drive continuous improvement.

Working with Site leaders as necessary to build an action-biased culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve growth, productivity, quality, and customer experience.

Directly leading and project running continuous improvement activities Diagnostics, Just Do Its, workshops, kaizens and projects, using various methodologies, tools and systems: lean, six sigma, pull manufacturing, total productive maintenance, waste reduction, Lean Leadership, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Blitz, Cell Design, Flow dynamics, 5S, Visual Management, 3P and various diagnostic tools, etc.

Working closely with Finance, Quality, Safety and Project sponsors to achieve agreed final impact of project and collaborating with colleagues and partners to implement an operational excellence plan that supports site, business unit, and Thermo Fisher Scientific strategies.

How will you get here?Education:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher learning institution with studies in Science, Engineering, Math, or Operations is highly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience

3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical work environment in the areas of production, engineering, quality or Laboratory.

Hands on track record of implementing, sustaining LEAN fundaments - including visual management, 5S, tiered accountability, Gemba, leader standard work, value stream mapping, FMEA.

Preferred experience, skills & abilities

Strong interpersonal, partnership and rapport building skills.

Strong technical knowledge

Proven track record to drive cross functional teams to solve problems and implement sustainable improvements within the organization.

Self advised, persistent and results oriented.

Strong influencing skills

Strong facilitation and presentation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
