Description Robert Half is supporting a rapidly growing client in need or a remote Onboarding Specialist! We are seeking a highly organized remote Onboarding Specialist to join a busy HR team for a long term contract role. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and timely employee data within the client’s HRIS-Payroll system and ensuring all compliance and pre-employment paperwork is done correctly.Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding Process: Administer and support the employee onboarding process, including collecting new hire documents, processing e-I9s, and ensuring new hires transition smoothly.

Data Management: Accurately enter data for employee transactions, such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, and status updates.

HRIS-Payroll Support: Provide daily support for HRIS-Payroll, including user permission setup, data entry, corrections, and integrity audits.

Management Resource: Advise management on processes and procedures for submitting Personnel Action Notices.

Employee Inquiries: Respond to basic questions about employee data, including PTO and paycheck information.

Background Checks: Process background, drug, reference, and employment verification checks for new employees, and report results to relevant stakeholders.

System Testing: Participate in testing for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

Project Support: Provide administrative support for scheduling and communications.

Data Handling: Ensure proper handling of highly sensitive data with discretion.

Requirements to be successful in the role include:

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel; SharePoint is a plus).

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in business or a related field is a plus.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an HRIS/Payroll role.

Systems Knowledge: Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is required; experience with ConnectWise or similar ticketing system is a plus.

Demonstrable experience in Hiring Processes, Human Resources (HR) Administration, and Onboarding. Familiarity with HR Compliance and HRIS Payroll System. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field is desirable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
