I am looking for a piano or guitar teacher who would like to teach part-time (approximately 3 times a week, 12 to 15 hours a week, mostly in the afternoon-evening hours, and maybe on Saturday or Sunday). It is important that the person has the desire to work part-time (as opposed to full-time) as I will be using my studio 2-3 days a week. I am a music studio owner who rents a commercial space in the beautiful/wealthy, and safe neighborhood of Montgomery in Cincinnati. I am also a mom and a caregiver, so I would like to keep my job part-time, and I am contemplating reducing my teaching to 3 days a week next fall (I teach 4 days a week right now). My studio has a tuned upright piano, a couple of keyboards, and a waiting area with plenty of piano materials/books and tons of parking spaces. Compensation will depend on experience and education (to have formal music studies is a big plus but not mandatory). I am also willing to rent my space so that you can run your business in any way you would like to. I am open to the possibility of collaborating for recitals and events or maybe even subbing for each other when/if needed. I will be responding only after February 15 or so. This position could start as early as this Spring and as late as the Fall. Applicants who are well established in Cincinnati (moms, dads, grandmoms, local music teachers looking for supplemental income will be given priority over University Music students who may leave Cincinnati after completing their degree, but everybody is welcome to inquire if interested). String or voice teachers are not encouraged due to the fact that my studio has poor sound insulation, and I share my space with other types of businesses (accountant, pilates instructor, etc.)
