Job Description:
As a Prep Cook employed by LGC, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the creation of dishes that delight customers. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to the success of kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables,
meats, and other food items according to established recipes and standards.
Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure consistency in food
quality.
Stock Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying the chef or kitchen
manager of shortages as needed.
Station Setup: Set up and organize workstations with the necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment for efficient food preparation.
Equipment Operation: Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, food processors, and grinders safely and efficiently.
Sanitation: Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items to prevent contamination.
Assist Culinary Team: Collaborate with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
during busy service periods.
Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a prep cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting is required.
Must be willing to complete a background check
Uniform: black polo,black pants, black nonslip shoes
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Strong knife skills and the ability to handle kitchen equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
