Job Title: EstimatorJob DescriptionGenerate estimates for the supply and installation of conveying and storage systems in the grain handling and storage industry. Support a steel fabrication manufacturing environment. Work with customers, project managers, sales staff, and other engineers to develop pricing quotes. Review customer drawings, internal blueprints, BOMs, and CAD files in AutoCAD to generate material costs. Partner with shop leadership, construction leadership, and project management to estimate labor hours and costs. Identify potential estimation software for purchase and use. Help digitize legacy estimation records. Occasionally travel to local customers (10% or less) and return home the same night. After the initial contracting period, you may be asked to climb ladders on tall grain elevators to obtain field measurements.Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, project management, or related discipline.
Experience supporting a steel fabrication, construction, or grain handling and storage industry.
3 years of prior estimation experience.
Proficiency in creating spreadsheets in Excel.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
5-7+ years of estimation experience.
Experience supporting the agricultural industry.
Experience managing engineering or construction projects.
Experience working with estimation software such as Costimator.
Work EnvironmentThe company is a small family-run business where employees wear multiple hats. You will occasionally need to travel to local customers and return the same night. After the initial contracting period, you may need to climb ladders on tall grain elevators to take field measurements.
