Job Title: Parts Washer

Reports To: 1st Shift Production Supervisor

Location: Avon, OH

Number of openings: 1

Hours: (7:30am-4:00pm)

Differential: No

Environmental Pay: Yes, $2.00/hour worked.

Purpose of the Position

Perform routine duties to keep equipment in the mixing areas cleaned and organized as well as available for production needs for process flow.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Manually washes and sanitizes all food contact and non-food contact utensils/totes after they have been emptied in the Cook and Prep areas.

Organizes clean totes and utensils in the designated area to allow for proper drying and inventory.

Inspects all equipment and utensils for defects and notifies maintenance or supervisor for repairs.

Manually sprays off and rinses all recyclable items free of product residue such as: plastic buckets, drums or other items. Prepares those items for outside storage prior to pick up.

Daily sanitation of the COP Room, Break Room, drains or other assigned cleaning tasks.

Filling out daily MSS or cleaning logs to document activities.

Place cardboard into baler and compress. Bind for pickup and empty baler when full.

Transports waste to trash compactor area.

Operate and run floor scrubber as needed.

Detail clean equipment from the mixing areas such as pumps, gaskets, clamps, pipes, etc while also inspecting for defects.

Mix chemicals in containers or prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.

Uses chemicals to clean according to SSOP. Uses proper PPE for chemical control.

Operates COP tank for cleaning pipes or machine parts that require additional hard to clean areas.

Ensure food contact surfaces, tools/utensils meet safety, quality, and legal requirements.

Ensure sanitary practices protocols are implemented and audited as required.

Keep work areas in mixing department clean and orderly.

Ability to organize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal direct supervision.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with other departments.

Adherence to all department safety procedures and GMP's. Follows chemical safety protocols.

Knowledge and Experience:

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Language Skills

It is essential to have excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Ability to read and follow written work instructions.

Ability to write simple correspondence.
