Description We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Ashtabula, Ohio. This role involves managing patient appointments, handling patient calls, and ensuring smooth operations in a healthcare setting. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry, which is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Responsibilities Manage patient appointments and ensure they are scheduled efficiently. Handle patient calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Scan and fax documents as required, maintaining electronic document management systems. Input inventory into stock and ensure it is updated regularly. Upload information to third-party portals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Create invoices for customers, ensuring they are accurate and sent out promptly. Use Cycle Software and MS Office to maintain patient records and manage other tasks. Show initiative and use excellent organizational skills to manage various tasks simultaneously. Check-in patients and ensure all their information is recorded accurately. Maintain a strong work ethic and a strong personality, ensuring a positive experience for patients. Requirements Proven experience in a Patient Care Coordinator role or similar patient-facing position within a healthcare setting. Proficiency in managing customer invoices, including creation, tracking, and resolution of any discrepancies. Demonstrated ability in using fax machines for sending and receiving documents. Experience in scanning documents, ensuring their clarity and readability for future reference. Familiarity with electronic document management systems, including uploading, organizing, and retrieving documents. Ability to schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Experience in handling patient calls, providing information, resolving queries, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Proficiency in managing patient check-ins, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional patient care. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes will be advantageous. Proficiency in using computer systems, including MS Office Suite and patient management software. A high degree of professionalism, empathy, and respect for patient confidentiality. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
