A leading and growing packaging manufacturer located in Alliance is looking for 2 nd Shift Extrusion Operators .$18.22 Per Hour + OvertimeMonday – Friday 2 PM – 10 PMThe Extrusion Operator ensures that the Extrusion Department operates at top efficiency at all times in accordance with Policies and Procedures. Coordinate with Scheduler and Slitting to ensure efficient workflow on all orders from the time you scheduled job to run until it is completed. Maintain totals at all times on all inventory in the Extrusion Department. Reliability is key because there are 2 Operators in this area/shift.Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all temperatures on machines, including water are verified daily.
Verify all orders: size, gauge & blend.
Measure size and gauge of film periodically throughout shift.
Run single wound film 1/8¿ Big.
Clean die and screens as needed.
Constantly verify that the film is of good quality; appearance, free of wrinkles, geis carbon, etc.
Ensure that machines are cleaned from top to bottom when not in production.
Lubricate machines once a week.
Clean air filters as needed.
Ensure that all water traps and compressor are drained as needed.
Cooperate with all levels of employees.
Job Requirements
Minimum of a high school education or its equivalent.
Mechanically inclined and a self-starter who will exercise authority according to clearly defined policies and procedures to perform all actions deemed necessary to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
Knowledge and/or previous experience with plastic extrusion is helpful.
Must be capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
Must be physically mobile for twisting, reaching heights of six (6) feet and able to complete repetitive motions without physical, mental strain or tension.
Must have the ability to climb multiple flights of stairs, multiple times on a daily basis.
Must be able to work in cool environment during the winter months and warm in the summer months.
Physical Requirements
Able to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs. and continuously lift up to 15 lbs.
Frequent standing, up to 6-7 hours
Occasional bending and twisting
Constant horizontal reaching
Kneeling and squatting intermittently
Must be able to work in cool environment during the winter months and warm in the summer months.
