As a traveling carpenter, you will be responsible for performing carpentry work on construction projects at various locations. You will work with a variety of materials, tools, and equipment to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures according to project specifications and blueprints. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in different environments as well as the ability to travel the United States as needed.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, metal, and other materials to construct or repair structures and fixtures.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, and other carpentry components.
Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Travel to different job sites as required, sometimes for extended periods.
Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within deadlines.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a carpenter in construction or a related field.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints drawings, and specifications.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices
Excellent attention to detail and precision
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
