Kitchen Shift Leader/ Manager
Barmacy Bar and Grill Town Tacos, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills to join a dedicated team. The Kitchen Manager reports to the General Manager. We use organic, local and non-GMO meats and produce whenever possible in preparing the dishes on our menu.
Responsibilities:
Open / Closing kitchen on time.
Stocking inventory and Taking orders of what the restaurants needs.
Control the day-to-day culinary operations within the policies and guidelines set forth by the Company, including the assurance of appropriate levels of staffing.
Interview and train new team members.
Manage, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff.
Give constructive feedback to employees.
Plan and direct food preparation and labor needs.
Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs are followed.
Responsible for equipment maintenance, cleaning, and arranging repairs.
Maintain procedures for conducting inventory.
Oversee and ensure food quality, accuracy and consistency.
Rectify arising problems and complaints.
Oversee time and payroll records.
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain current checklists (for example: prep, cleaning, and opening and closing checklists), create and implement new checklists as needed.
Follow company recipes and work with executive management on new recipe development and menu design.
Skills
Proven working experience as a head chef
Excellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
Capable of delegating multiple tasks
Communication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
